The ladies of Alamance Women’s Community, Inc. know that seeing green means Spring is almost here and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day together is one way to welcome the birds and flowers after a Winter’s rest.
Last year we celebrated at Historic Providence Church with bingo and a dessert buffet of cakes, cookies, and ice cream. A member’s daughter called the games while the rest of us tried to keep up with our more experienced bingo playing members.

This year we gathered at a member’s home for a “traditional” Irish lunch complete with soda bread and corned beef while we perused our organization’s archives. It was so much fun for our newer members to learn the stories of past successes, failures, and fellowship.
Special time with special friends is a great way to honor our mission to to encourage goodwill and fellowship.
Many thanks to the Socials Committee for planning these opportunities.
