CONGRATULATIONS to our 2019 scholarship winners Averi Kistler and John “Jac” Patterson.
Averi Kistler is a graduate of Clover Garden Charter School and was a dual-enrolled student at Alamance Community College. She has been active in her church youth group volunteering in the homeless shelter and visiting nursing homes. She also helps with her church’s after-school care program. AWC is pleased to award Averi a $1500 scholarship toward her studies at UNC-Wilmington.
John “Jac” Patterson is a graduate of Southern High School. Jac was active in track, wrestling and lacrosse, FFA and National Honor Society. Jac also worked as a counselor at Appalachian Christian Camp and volunteered with Mebane Youth Soccer Association’s Top Soccer Program where he worked with young kids with disabilities. AWC is pleased to award Jac $1500 toward his studies at UNC Wilmington.
The 2019 AWC, Inc. Scholarship information will be available in February 2020.
