An expression of gratitude and honor was immediate on this year’s Woman of the Year recipient, Pauline King. She was cheered by her fellow board members who were able to see her receive the award in the face of this season’s unprecedented challenges.
Pauline was commended for her work this year in her second term of service as President and her dedication to many committees. Pauline has been a member since 2005. Her desire to serve continues as Pauline serves on the Board as Past President in the 2020-2021 year.
An active volunteer Master Gardener with a true heart for her gardens, Pauline also enjoys traveling and socializing with her many friends in her community.
The award was presented by 2019 Woman of the Year Linda Moore. Moore, along with past Woman of the Year recipients Vera Thompson (2009) and Patty Allen (2018) counted up the nominations from the membership in order to choose this year’s winner. The award recipient is only known by the three committee members who are sworn to secrecy until the time of the banquet.
