Our Annual Banquet was the culmination of a year of hard work, a time to reflect on our past year, to relax and enjoy the company of friends, to laugh and celebrate. Members and their guests gathered in the Terrace Room overlooking the 18th green at the Alamance Country Club to enjoy a lovely buffet dinner, wine by the glass and music provided by RBR Band.
President Rhonda Tapp began the program by remembering the year’s successes, among them three profitable fundraisers, a new website, an updated scholarship application available online, a major revision of the bylaws and a number of socials which strengthened our friendships. Rhonda received a gift and thank you from our organization for her service as President. Linda Moore was recognized as the 2019 Woman of the Year. As well, our outgoing and incoming officers and board members were recognized and applauded for their service.
In a much-anticipated finale, Lorraine Allen, a guest of Linda Moore and Patty Allen, was declared the winner of our 50/50 raffle.
